Production Supervisor – Electronic Manufacturing

Based in Melbourne, we are an electronics manufacturing company that specialises in the production of innovative electronic products. Our customers operate in a broad range of industries.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our thriving team.
About this opportunity:
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving results in manufacturing? We're seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee operations during our day shift, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety remain top priorities.
You will have day-to-day accountability for managing the team including people management, training and development and driving of continuous improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Coordinate manufacturing operations and ensure the production schedule is met, whilst ensuring product standards and product specifications are achieved.
- Effectively lead, train and supervise a production team of approx. 25 operators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Champion a safety-first mindset throughout the site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance product quality operational performance and implement improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and enforce company standards and policies related to GMP, House-keeping, Repairs & Maintenance
- Maintain optimal stock levels to support production requirements.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met consistently across the shift.
Your background:
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in electronic manufacturing.
- Direct experience or qualification in electronic manufacturing highly desirable.
- Strong communication and people management skills to motivate and guide teams effectively.
- Ability to lead from the front, remaining actively involved on the Production floor while leading the team.
- Demonstrated ability to train and supervise employees, fostering skill development and growth.
- Capable of problem-solving technical issues in production swiftly and effectively.
- Be able to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
