Our ICT Commercial & Financial Analytics team is at the forefront of delivering data-driven insights, advanced statistical analysis, and ICT benchmarking to help clients make informed commercial and technology investment decisions. More About You
We are currently seeking professionals with expertise in statistical analysis, ICT benchmarking, data modelling, and performance measurement. You will help clients make informed decisions by designing and executing benchmarking studies, applying advanced statistical techniques to large and complex datasets, and translating analytical findings into actionable insights that drive technology investment, operational efficiency, and strategic outcomes. We welcome applications from Consultant to Manager level candidates who have demonstratable experience in the following areas:
- Applying advanced statistical analysis techniques—including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and data sampling—using tools such as R, Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and statsmodels), SPSS, SAS, and Minitab to ICT benchmarking and performance measurement projects
- Designing and executing ICT benchmarking studies, including the collection, validation, and interpretation of large datasets to compare organisational performance against industry standards, leveraging platforms such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau for data management and visualisation
- Translating complex statistical findings and benchmarking results into actionable insights and clear recommendations for technology investment, operational improvement, and strategic decision-making.
- Developing and utilising statistical data models, performing analysis and visualisation, and communicating insights to support ICT strategy and transformation.
- Application of statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate ICT pricing structures, vendor performance, and commercial outcomes.
- Familiarity with technology finance principles and pricing mechanisms, including cost modelling, value-for-money assessments, and benchmarking against industry standards
Professional background
- For Consultant level: At least 2 years' experience, for Manager level; at least 5 years'
- Your background may include roles in consulting, technology suppliers, or internal advisory functions
Skills
To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of technical capability, analytical rigour, and stakeholder engagement skills, including:
- Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to senior stakeholders
- High attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Proficiency in handling and analysing large datasets using tools such as Excel (including Power Query), Python, and Python-in-Excel
- Advanced data visualisation skills using platforms such as Power BI and Tableau
- Experience applying statistical analysis methods—such as regression, correlation, and probability distributions—to ICT performance and pricing data
- Familiarity with industry frameworks and metrics used in ICT benchmarking studies
- Ability to translate analytical outputs into commercial insights that support strategic technology decisions and present the resultant outputs to key client stakeholders
- Understanding of the commonwealth government landscape (desirable)
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree, with one of the following disciplines: Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, ISACA certifications or Statistical Society of Australia Accreditation are desirable
- Must hold Australian Citizenship and be able to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
