Belyando Crossing Roadhouse is located 200 kilometres south of Charters Towers, on the Gregory Development Road (Gregory Hwy), and 170 kilometres to the north of Clermont. It is in the middle of cattle country and the resources rich Galilee Basin, with mining and exploration activities in Coal, Gold and other minerals. It is a major inland freight route with consistent traffic up and down the Highway.

The Roadhouse accommodates workers on various infrastructure projects and mine sites in the area, and we are coming to the end of the tourist season. Together with regular passing traffic, the Roadhouse can at times be extremely busy.

We are looking for an experienced cook/chef with experience in catering to workers in a similar environment or workers village to join our team. At times we can have in excess of 50-60 workers staying in house where we cater for dinner, breakfast and crib lunches.

Applicants will preferably have a minimum of 5+ years commercial cooking/chef experience and hold a trade qualification in culinary arts.

We have flexible work arrangements with experienced relief staff to ensure there is a balance between work and play. We offer a generous salary package to the right person with relevant experience.
