Conveyancing Assistant and Office Duties

We are a well-respected firm on the Sunshine Coast which provides a range of legal services including Conveyancing for residential and commercial properties.  We are known for our exceptional service delivery to our clients.

An excellent opportunity exists to join our team working primarily in the conveyancing team but also assisting (jointly with others) to cover general office duties.

The Role

The role is suitable for someone with conveyancing experience but would also suit the right person looking to enter into the legal field or transition to working in conveyancing. You will work under the guidance of our senior conveyancing manager.

Your duties would include:

  • assisting our senior conveyancing manager with a range of tasks including file opening, data entry and preparing documentation, file management, undertaking searches, inputting data into PEXA and QRO for stamping and Titles Office lodgements.  As you grow in the role, additional responsibility can be assigned to you but this will be at a pace you are comfortable with
  • answering phone calls and greeting clients
  • general office duties as required

About you

Previous legal office experience and working with LEAP software and PEXA would be an advantage but is not essential.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be self-motivated, eager to learn and to grow professionally
  • possess excellent organisation skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • have a strong work ethic and be able to exercise initiative
  • demonstrate good time management skills, be able to multi-task and prioritise workloads
  • have the ability to relate well with clients
