STORE MANAGER – COW AND THE MOON, NEW SYDNEY FISH MARKET

Cow and the Moon is looking for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead our newest venture at the New Sydney Fish Market…an iconic and vibrant destination in the heart of Sydney.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of an award-winning, family-run gelateria that prides itself on quality, creativity, and connection to community.

About the Role

As the Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind our newest location. You'll lead a passionate front and back-of-house team, ensure seamless daily operations, and continue to deliver the signature Cow and the Moon experience our customers love.

You'll work closely with the Owners and Kitchen Team to bring our distinctive culture to life, both within the team and out into the wider community. We're looking for someone who leads with positivity, clear communication, and adaptability—especially in the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations at the New Sydney Fish Market
  • Lead, train and support FOH and kitchen teams
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and foster strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with the Owners and Management Team
  • Manage inventory and stock ordering
  • Maintain food safety and OH&S standards
  • Lead monthly shift leader meetings and implement structured team communication
  • Assist with recruitment and team development
  • Contribute to business strategy, system improvements and growth initiatives
  • Champion a positive, fun, and professional work environment focused on accountability and teamwork
  • Act as the main point of contact for all staff at the venue

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a hospitality management role
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Coffee knowledge, experience or a willingness to learn
  • Current Driver's License
  • A hands-on, proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong people skills, communication, and leadership abilities
  • A passion for customer experience, quality, and community engagement
  • Ability to lead with openness, positivity, and accountability
  • An appreciation for all things sweet.
  • A genuine understanding of the core purpose of a store manager in hospitality — prioritising customer service above all else. Serving guests and ensuring exceptional service will always be the most vital part of the role.

**You will be required to complete your training in our Enmore (181 Enmore rd Enmore,2042) shop location until opening of our new store at Sydney Fish Market on 17th November 2025
