The role:

We're looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to help design and deliver modern, scalable infrastructure solutions for critical systems across enterprise environments. Whether you're hands-on in Terraform, scripting smart automation, or collaborating with architects on Azure design patterns and their implementation — this is your opportunity to make a real difference in a high-performing consulting team that values quality and innovation

What you'll be doing:

You'll join a fast-moving team of cloud and infrastructure professionals solving complex challenges and building future-ready environments with Microsoft Azure. This role blends hands-on engineering with infrastructure design and DevSecOps enablement - and it's all underpinned by Infrastructure as Code.

Day to day, you'll:


• Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure


• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment


• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform


• Collaborate with architects to contribute to solution design and planning


• Apply security and compliance controls, aligned with the ISM framework


• Build monitoring, alerting, and logging into cloud environments


• Work across enterprise and defence clients to deliver secure, scalable, well architected solutions

We're looking for:

You're a natural problem-solver and system thinker who thrives in an environment where quality infrastructure and automation are key You'll bring the following skills and expertise:


• Proven experience in a Cloud Engineer role with expertise in Azure.


• Minimum of 3+ years experience in Azure services


• Minimum of 2+ years' hands-on experience with Terraform or equivalent (Bicep, Ansible) IaC language(s)


• Strong experience deploying services using Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps principles


• Proven ability to build and maintain DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)


• Experience working within or aligning to the security frameworks such as the ACSC ISM

Desirable:


• Experience working with hybrid and multi-cloud environments


• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and cloud operations best practices


• Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305, AZ-500 or similar)


• Experience in defence, government or highly regulated environments
