About the Role

V2 AI is seeking an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (contractor) to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and automated solutions within Microsoft Azure, enabling faster delivery cycles and reliable, high-performing digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure to support enterprise-scale digital services
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated deployments and continuous delivery
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve performance, reliability, and release efficiency
  • Develop and integrate serverless workflows using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions, enabling scalable, event-driven automation across systems
  • Configure and monitor Azure resources, Application Insights, and Log Analytics for system health and performance visibility
  • Implement robust security, compliance, and access controls across Azure environments
  • Optimise cloud infrastructure costs and ensure scalability through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep
  • Drive automation initiatives across build, test, and deployment workflows
  • Lead and support cloud migration projects, including from on-premise or multi-cloud to Azure

What's Required

  • Several years' experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on Azure DevOps and cloud automation
  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services including App Services, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Storage Accounts, and Networking
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform or Bicep preferred
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance in cloud environments
