At Goran and Associates Pty Ltd, we're a dedicated financial adviser specialising in Superannuation Total Permanent and Disability and Income Protection claims.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Head Office team in Bundoora. Reporting to the Director, this role is central to maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our finance function.
This position is being offered as part-time (2 days per week).
You'll play a hands-on role in delivering timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting audits, and providing critical insights that help us operate smoothly and sustainably.
AS A FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT, YOU WILL:
-Prepare and assist with monthly profit & loss and balance sheet reporting.
-Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain all supporting documentation.
-Manage the company's Taxation returns.
-Assist with statutory accounts, BAS, FBT returns, and compliance reporting.
-Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who brings both technical accounting skills and the ability to collaborate across a close-knit team. You'll thrive in this role if you are detail-focused, proactive, and able to balance independence with teamwork.
You'll also bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce.
CA/CPA (completed).
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
A professional approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
