About the role

Cythera is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to grow with our wider organisation.

As an experienced user of NetSuite, you will assist us with maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and supporting ongoing improvements in our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Management

  • Process accounts payable (AP) invoices accurately and timely

  • Accounts receivable (AR) payments allocation and reconciliation
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of AP and AR to balance sheet accounts
  • Manage card account reconciliations and process other relevant financial transactions.

  • Financial Reporting

  • Manage employee timesheet submissions and ensure timely compliance

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Assist with monthly fixed asset accounting activities.

  • Systems and Process Improvement

o   Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives for accounting systems and internal processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
  • Demonstrated experience with NetSuite is a must
  • Fast and accurate numerical and typing skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments and other offices across Australia
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance to processes and policies
  • Proactive problem-solver who can confidently follow up with colleagues for invoices, receipts, and timesheets.
