Safety Coordinator, Contract Temp Opportunity in Newcastle, NSW
We're looking for a sharp Safety Coordinator to support a key government schools contract in the Central Coast region until the end of the year.
This is a high-impact, face-paced position where you'll be essential in ensuring systems compliance and safety standards are met on-site daily. If you're a local to Newcastle or comfortable commuting from the Central Coast, this is your chance to shine
What You'll Be Doing: Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, your primary focus will be supporting and monitoring the efficient implementation of management systems and reporting expectations:
- Site Presence: Conduct morning site visits and perform audits using established guides.
- Compliance Documentation: Document findings, including taking photographs for investigations and compliance checks (e.g., cleaner's room inspections).
- Data Management: Manage email administration, upload evidence, and complete inspections with supporting documentation.
- Training Oversight: Monitor and manage training records via Power BI, including rebooking individuals and uploading completed training to SuccessFactors.
- Safety Communications: Draft safety alerts and support the team with incident reporting, investigations, and delivering SHEQ reports.
- Team Support: Assist with employee/contractor onboarding and inductions.
Your Profile
You are a motivated, adaptable team player who can handle pressure and collaborate effectively across all levels.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a WH&S type role.
- Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (used everyday).
- Clearance: Valid Working with Children Check.
- Qualification: Cert 4 in WH&S would be a plus
