Ventia

Ventia has been awarded a new water contract to deliver preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance along with Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentational services across the Seqwater network.
Ventia
provides service excellence across 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations, and 26 referable dams.

At Ventia, safety is our number one priority and is paramount above all else. As the SHEQ Advisor, you will represent our safety values and oversee safety, compliance across the Our operational footprint.
The SHEQ Advisor will have a 30% office based and 70% field based role carrying out hazard & compliance inspections, risk assessments & ensuring compliance across the Seqwater network.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor compliance with Ventia's Critical Risk Protocols, ensuring alignment with operational activities.
- Coordinate and conduct assurance audits and inspections in accordance with scheduled plans, delivering within specified timeframes and developing SMART corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support on the implementation and continuous improvement of SHEQ processes across the project.
- Manage incident reporting and corrective actions in Vensafe, ensuring timely entry, tracking, and closure.
- Lead investigations using ICAM methodology and other tools to address hazards, risks, and compliance issues.
- Conduct third-party audits of subcontractors to verify compliance with project requirements and SHEQ standards.
- Support and promote environmental initiatives, driving performance improvements in line with environmental management plans.
- Monitor workplace compliance and proactively address non-conformances
- Assist with workers' compensation and injury management processes, ensuring effective support.
- Lead by example, fostering a positive safety culture and consistently demonstrating core safety values.
About You
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
- 5+ years of experience as a SHEQ Advisor on maintenance contracts or similar
- ICAM training investigations certificate (Desirable)
- Lead Auditor Training or internal equivalent (Desirable)
- Construction white card
- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - HLTAID001 (Desirable)
- Provide First Aid - HLTAID003 (Desirable)
- Current C Class Driver Licence
