What's the role?
We're looking for a manager to join our Compliance team supporting the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB) and Global Transaction Services (GTS) business.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney, where you'll provide second line compliance support to a key part of Westpac's Institutional Bank. GTS helps our commercial, corporate, institutional and government clients manage payments, cash flow and working capital and you'll help ensure we do that in a compliant and responsible way.

You'll also play a key role in advising on regulatory change, emerging risks, and supporting incident management and thematic reviews.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Sydney.

What do I need?

  • A bachelor's degree and relevant experience in banking, financial services, or within a regulator, legal, or professional services firm.
  • Solid understanding of Australia's financial services regulatory landscape, including key legislation and industry codes.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory information and present it clearly.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Confident interpersonal skills and the ability to influence compliance behaviours across all levels of the organisation.
