Develop With Impact – Software Role in Mental Health Services

About your role

As a Software Developer with Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS), you'll directly contribute to our 5-Year Digital Strategy—modernising legacy systems, building secure cloud-aligned tools, and enabling data-driven mental health care. This is your chance to develop meaningful software that clinicians use daily to improve patient outcomes.

You'll work within a collaborative digital team to design, build, and support web applications using .NET Core, Angular, Blazor, and related technologies, while also contributing to reporting solutions and cloud-based infrastructure.

About you

You're a problem solver, a systems thinker, and a developer who's motivated by meaningful work. You have strong technical capability in full-stack Microsoft development and a passion for building tools that empower clinical teams.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Angular, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Strong SQL Server skills including stored procedures and database design.
  • Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., App Services, Azure SQL, Functions) and cloud-hosted environments.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
  • A strong grasp of user-centred design, accessibility standards, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience in agile teams and collaborative delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID).
  • (Desirable) Understanding of RESTful APIs and FHIR standards for healthcare interoperability.
