Project Officer, Queensland Health
Queensland's hospital system is facing greater demand and pressure than ever before. This is driven by our growing and ageing population, and compounded by pressures on primary, aged and disability care. To help address this, Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ), in partnership with Hospital and Health Services (HHS), is leading the biggest hospital expansion program Queensland has ever seen. The program includes building three new hospitals, expanding 11, upgrading rural and regional health facilities and delivering thousands of new hospital beds in the next five years. The intent is for this to be the first tranche of a 15-year program of infrastructure investments. Working in HIQ, you will forge a new sustainable delivery model and contribute to the delivery of projects that ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders – what could be more rewarding than that?
Benefits for Joining HIQ:
- Attractive and competitive salary with annual incremental increases, generous employer superannuation contributions and leave loading.
- Flexible working arrangements along with a supportive and friendly work environment.
- Corporate discounts and employee wellness programs.
- Countless opportunities to learn and ongoing professional development.
- Committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace for all employees.
- You will contribute to making a difference in the lives of Queenslanders.
About the role
Join Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ) today and be part of a growing service that embraces innovation and excellence in healthcare.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Infrastructure Planning and Delivery, you will provide support to them and their broader planning and delivery team to deliver on major health capital projects across the state.
You will play an integral role in supporting quality assurance processes, preparing documentation, and ensuring reporting and submission deadlines are met. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, monitor and review correspondence systems to accommodate the demanding environment and ensure the smooth workflow of correspondence for the Division.
- Oversight of diary scheduling and management, including associated booking of meeting facilities, equipment and catering.
- Be the central point of contact for the team on behalf of the Executive Director regarding project related queries.
- Provide and lead secretariat functions for meetings, committees and working groups such as minutes, scheduling, and distribution.
- Liaise and effectively communicate (both written and verbal) directly with members of the public, external organisation, personnel at all levels and disciplines within the Division, and senior officials within Queensland Health in the dissemination of information and decisions with tact, diplomacy, respect and in a professional manner.
If you're passionate and ready to take on new challenges, we encourage you to apply
