Project Manager - Business / Organisational Uplift

Location: Canberra preferred (hybrid arrangements may be considered)

Clearance: Baseline AGSVA (ability to obtain NV1 is desirable)

Citizenship: Australian Citizenship required

We are seeking a Business Project Manager with proven experience delivering organisational uplift initiatives and managing multiple projects in a complex environment. This role is well-suited to a Project Manager who excels in business-focused delivery rather than technical implementation, and who brings strong stakeholder management and change leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and facilitate the planning, coordination, and delivery of organisational uplift projects.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations across multiple streams of work.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and schedules while ensuring risks and issues are managed proactively.
  • Deliver high-quality project documentation, governance, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, anticipating needs and ensuring effective engagement.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to support business change and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare clear reporting and presentations for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Support and guide team members, fostering collaboration and capability development.
Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing business-focused projects of similar scale in the past 3 years.
  • Proven background in organisational uplift and change initiatives.
  • Experience balancing competing priorities and delivering across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, with flexibility to adapt as required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation and reports.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, including across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Analytical capability with the ability to identify improvements and drive change.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to mentor and support others.
  • Integrity and sound judgement, with the ability to deliver within legislative and policy frameworks.
Conditions
  • Security Clearance: Must hold a Baseline AGSVA clearance.
  • Work Health & Safety: Compliance with WHS standards (suppliers provide personal equipment as required).
  • Political Neutrality: Required.
  • Citizenship: Applicants must be Australian citizens.
