The HSE Administrator will be responsible for providing efficient, effective and timely administrative support to the HSE function in AWS responsible for a diverse range of key activities that are critical to work execution.
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Located centrally in Wooloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land your role purpose will be –
- Complete activities to support the implementation and maintenance of the Group, Division and site HSE strategy, management system and improvement plans.
- Support site management to achieve the Group, division and site HSE strategy, management system and improvement plans, considering specific requirements for the site.
- Monitor injury and illness reports to ensure that follow ups are complete. This includes involvement, support for and understanding of Claims and Fitness for work activities.
- Assist managers and supervisors in the day-to-day implementation of their HSE responsibilities and provide verbal and written reports as agreed
- Maintain and coordinate induction, training, information and instructions for HSE.
- Maintain and improve HSE documentation
- Ensure that all corrective actions are communicated and completed.
- Maintain and assist with HSE management systems, accreditation and legislation and plans.
- Assist with the implementation of the site HSE Committee.
- Ensure that systems for maintaining and displaying information and records relating to HSE for the site are maintained in alignment with Group, division and site HSE tools provided.
- Act as a role model to all employees by demonstrating full support of Thales Australia's occupational health, safety and environmental programs.
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Certificate IV in WHS preferred but not essential
- Practical experience in the application of ISO Management Systems,
- Practical experience in process, hardware/software, services quality assurance/control,
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience interacting with management through to shop floor personnel
- Practical knowledge of the production /construction and/or manufacturing environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision- Sound computer skills in use of MS OFFICE products
