About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst/Management Accountant to join our team in Australia. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for supporting the business through accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports
  • Conduct financial investigations and provide advice on taxation, financing, and business structure
  • Analyse costs, revenue and performance to support decision making
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Provide assurance on the accuracy of financial information
  • Introduce and maintain accounting systems and ERP solutions
  • Manage budgets, cash flow forecasts, pricing and cost performance
  • Advise management on financial planning, risk, and business performance

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Membership or eligibility for CPA/CA/IPA preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or international business environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of management accounting, reporting and compliance
  • High level Excel and ERP system skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
