The Role:

A Commercial Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving OTR's success by delivering actionable insights and identifying opportunities to enhance business performance. You will partner with leaders across the organisation to understand profitability drivers, close performance gaps, and support smarter decision-making.

Responsibilities:

As Commercial Analyst, you will use data, curiosity, and problem-solving skills to deliver analysis and solutions that enhance business performance and profitability.

You will provide:

  • Subject matter expertise in business profitability and performance analysis.
  • Periodic review of business unit performance to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Reporting, analytics, and commentary on key drivers of profitability.
  • Support in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Tools, models, and solutions that improve efficiency and support decision making.
  • Creative and lateral thinking to explain, analyse, and predict business performance.
  • Collaboration with business leaders to improve their understanding of profitability drivers.
  • Contribution to projects and initiatives alongside Senior Finance Business Partners.
  • Support to IT in improving data architecture and reporting models.

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in commercial, financial, or business analysis.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Skilled in reporting, modelling, and developing actionable business insights.
  • Curious mindset with the ability to problem-solve and think laterally.
  • Strong communication skills to influence and partner with stakeholders.
  • Experience with data tools and systems (desirable but not essential).
