Building Designer / Draftsperson – Flexible Hours, Sunshine Coast
We're a small, passionate residential building design studio on the Sunshine Coast seeking a Building Designer / Draftsperson to join our team. This role offers flexible hours, hybrid work (office + home), and the chance to work on rewarding residential projects.
About the Role
- Part-time or casual, 8–24 hours/week (1–4 days).
- Work on residential projects from concept through to approvals.
- Flexible office hours + hybrid work.
- Mentoring and professional development provided.
- Start ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to produce accurate and detailed working drawings for residential projects using Revit.
- Liaise with clients and consultants.
- Ensure all documentation complies with building codes, standards, and local planning schemes.
- Manage projects through all stages of the design and approval process.
- Maintain and update Revit templates, families, and systems for efficient workflows.
About You
- Experienced in residential building design/drafting or a recent graduate with a Diploma of Building Design.
- Proficient in Revit (AutoCAD and D5 Render a bonus).
- Solid understanding of residential construction, building codes, standards, and local planning schemes.
- Professional, friendly communicator.
