Your Role

As a Design Assistant at JMACX, you will:

  • Produce detailed CAD designs, drawings, and models for 4WD product parts, accessories, and custom builds
  • Assist with product development, from concept sketches through to final design revisions
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and workshop teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality & safety standards
  • Update and maintain CAD libraries and design documentation
  • Review designs for fitment, tolerance, and function, suggesting improvements where needed
  • Collaborate on drawings for quotes, prototypes, testing, and final release

What We're Looking For
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or similar)
  • Experience in mechanical/automotive design, or related engineering fields
  • A strong eye for detail, measurement, tolerancing and drawing standards
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into workable designs
  • Good communication skills; ability to work in a team and liaise between design, production, and sales/workshop
  • Reliable, motivated with initiative, strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Passion for the 4WD lifestyle & desire to produce high-quality work
