entry-level role
at Qudos Bank Arena We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
People and Culture Officer (Workforce Planning focus)
to join our dynamic team. Perfect for a recent HR graduate or someone early in their career, this is an exciting entry-level role that offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

This diverse role is the ideal stepping stone for someone eager to gain practical skills and grow within a world-class entertainment venue.

What You Will Do

  • Support roster management by building and maintaining shifts in our workforce system (Humanforce).
  • Communicate rosters, event details, and updates to casual staff.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and supporting the selection of candidates.
  • Help onboard new employees by preparing contracts, coordinating inductions, and conducting arena tours.
  • Provide HR administration support to the Manager, People and Culture, including preparing newsletters, managing records, and assisting with various ad-hoc projects and company initiatives.
  • Partner with departments and liaise with third-party agencies where appropriate, to ensure staffing needs are met for all events.
  • Be part of operational meetings, pre-event briefings, and behind-the-scenes planning.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with the
right attitude, energy, and willingness to learn.

  • A genuine interest in building a career in Human Resources / People & Culture (ideally with a degree in HR or a related field).
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in administration, rostering, or casual workforce management (advantageous but not essential).
  • A positive, proactive team player who enjoys problem-solving and supporting others.

What We Offer

  • Complimentary tickets to shows/concerts.
  • EAP program.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • Hands-on experience in a large-scale live events environment.
  • Exposure to multiple aspects of HR, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and HR Administration.
  • A vibrant and collaborative workplace where no two days are the same.
