Chef De Partie Position

Award winning restaurant, Fish Out Of Water Hyde Park are seeking a Full Time Chef De Partie to join our ever growing team.

Working along side our Executive Chef Kate, we are creating an opportunity to build and shape our kitchen for the future.

Ideally these skills are a must- Having a thorough understanding of how yearly seasons affect levels of food amounts to be prepared. Have the skill set to adjust food preparation levels for each day of the week, Following food trends of what sells, Be able to work and prepare food at a fast pase & Show solid initiative.

The food preparation role plays a vital part to our team, it is what keeps our kitchen running and this position is to be filled by someone who is dedicated, motivated and wants to run a business within our business.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills-

-Has a passion for quality cuisine

-Excellent food preparation and presentation skills

-Motivated, energetic with a positive attitude

-Positive and hospitable people skills

-Problem solver who can shows initiative

-Looking for a longevity with Fish Out Of Water

-Experience following food safety systems and procedures

-Has current Chef trade certification & minimum 4 years experience

-Ability to train current Apprentice Chef (3rd year)

Daily Duties Include-

-Prepare & Present 18 Salads every day

-Restaurant set up ready for customer service

-Prepare Stocks & Sauces

-Meticulously prepare all ingredients used to create each meal

-Prepare Dessert sauces

-Prepare & Descale Fresh Fish

-Prepare & Portion Fresh calamari & salmon

-Have the ability to work on one of the fastest Chargrill stations in Adelaide & understanding food timing/temperature sections on a grill

-Be able to time food to come out at specific times in conjunction with 3 other stations within our kitchen

This role will be located at Fish Out Of Water Hyde Park. 117 King William Road, Hyde Park SA 5061

38 Hours + Per week working on a 7 Day rotating roster.

Salary of $75,000 + Super
