Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Support Analyst with extensive experience in application support and troubleshooting, particularly within the Telecom OSS (Operations Support System) domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in
Linux and Unix environments, middleware technologies, and ITIL practices
. This role requires a proactive approach to investigating and resolving production issues, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for OSS applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues, utilizing strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain documentation of support processes, incident resolutions, and system configurations.
- Participate in change management processes, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Conduct regular system health checks and performance monitoring to pre-emptively address potential issues.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior support staff as needed.
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of application support and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Telecom OSS (Operations Support System).
- ITIL certification.
- Proficiency in Linux and Unix operating systems.
- Experience with middleware technologies such as Apache, WebLogic, or similar.
- Expertise in investigation and troubleshooting of production issues.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Porting & Portout processes.
- Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
- Understanding of network protocols and telecommunications systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 7 years of relevant experience in application support, preferably in a telecom environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
