About the Role
We are not just launching a new plant — we are shaping the future of automotive manufacturing in Saudi Arabia. As a greenfield investment by a leading German Tier 1 supplier, our new site in KAEC represents a bold step in global expansion and innovation.
As a Specialist Technician, you will bring your expertise in automation, PLC programming, and robotics to support the optimization and reliability of our production equipment. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills in an international environment, contributing to innovation, continuous improvement, and the long-term success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act in your field of expertise, supporting maintenance in areas such as PLC programming, robotics, and automation.
- Optimize existing equipment and stay updated on new technical developments and innovations.
- Take ownership of PLC programming, production-related IT interfaces, and troubleshooting.
- Support the setup and launch of new equipment and projects.
- Lead maintenance-related improvement actions in collaboration with other departments.
- Improve and standardize maintenance procedures and practices.
- Ensure appropriate maintenance standards and contribute to expert networks with new insights.
- Support the Develop & Launch process with respect to maintenance activities from a plant perspective.
- Contribute to operative maintenance tasks requiring specialized expertise.
- Support innovative initiatives (e.g., 3D printing, Industry 4.0 projects).
- Train and develop maintenance personnel in your area of expertise.
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in PLC programming and automation technologies.
- Strong understanding of traceability and material properties.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering and machine guidelines.
- Experience with CE identification and compliance requirements.
Good command of MS Office tools.
Additional Expertise:
Product know-how in automotive manufacturing.
- Experience with gauges, welding, tightening, laser cutting, and press technologies.
- Familiarity with poka-yoke/error-proofing systems.
- Knowledge of hot stamping, oven, tooling, and leak testing technologies.
- Understanding of surface treatment basics and mechanical engineering concepts.
- Ability to work with automation technologies and traceability systems.
- Local language skills are an advantage.
