Perth, Western Australia Private Advertiser Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Growing construction company requires a new Site Manager / Supervisor to join their business on a permanent basis. They focus on both Residential and Commercial construction. This role would suit an A grader who is making or has made the transition from residential to commercial construction. You will initially be involved in a handful of Retirement Living New Builds, then an Aged Care Refurbishment and after that a larger Retirement Living Project, before going onto some smaller commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is executed and carried out safely to the highest quality.
  • Coordinate and manage all trades / subcontractors.
  • Interpret technical drawings.
  • Report to the Construction Manager.
  • Run your site to plan and in accordance to specification.
  • Problem solving.
  • Being present on site and available.
  • Toolbox meetings / Site Inductions.
  • Health & Safety.
  • Take delivery of materials.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in i.e. Carpentry and Joinery.
  • A good knowledge on current building requirements.
  • High level interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • High sense of urgency.
  • Able to thrive under pressure.
  • Must be extremely organised.
  • Strong Health and Safety.
  • Proven track record in meeting budgets.
  • Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams and individuals.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Approachable, level-headed and practical.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent work ethic.
