We're seeking a new graduate Occupational Therapist

MELBOURNE & SURROUNDING SUBURBS

Full time/ Part time $75K-$85k

We currently are recruiting for a graduate level Occupational Therapist. We are a National organisation with services delivered throughout Australia in person or via online consultations. Currently we work in the disability sector and we will soon enter the aged care support at home sector.

This role will report directly to and receive structured supervision from our National Team Leader of Occupational Therapy.

This is an brilliant opportunity to develop your skills and to receive direct support from our senior most clinician.

As part of our approach you will receive the following: -

1.1 Clinical Supervision

● Frequency: 1-3 months - weekly

● 3-6 months - fortnightly

● 6-12 months - fortnight -monthly (depending to progress)

Online and / or face to face meetings with team Leader / Senior Clinician

  • Discuss clinical cases
  • Reflect on clinical reasoning and decision-making
  • Reviewing documentation (case notes and assessment reports)
  • Planning therapy intervention
  • Receiving feedback on performance
  • Observation sessions
  • Opportunities to observe senior OT in assessments and therapy sessions
  • Joint sessions with clients
  • Gradual progression from observation - co-involvement -independent work
  • Reflective Practice
  • Encourage to keep a reflective journal
  • Professional Development Planning
  • Development of learning goals and plan
  • Feedback and evaluation at 3, 6 and 12 months.
  • Courses / workshops - 1-2 per year.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • AHPRA registered
  • Provide assessment and therapy services to NDIS participants
  • Have good general skills working with people
  • Be able to work autonomously
  • Liaise regularly with our Senior Occupational Therapist team leader
