Healthy Young Minds is a growing multidisciplinary psychology and educational therapy clinic based in Bundoora, supporting children, teens, and young adults with developmental, learning, emotional, and sensory needs. Our team is passionate about helping young people reach their potential through evidence-based, compassionate, and collaborative care.
About the Role
We're seeking a warm, motivated, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team as a subcontractor. You'll work closely with our psychologists, teachers, and allied health team to deliver high-quality assessments and therapy services for children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy interventions for children and teens.
- Conduct functional and sensory assessments (e.g., sensory processing, fine/gross motor, self-care).
- Develop therapy goals, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other allied health professionals.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in line with AHPRA and NDIS requirements.
Essential Criteria
Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Minimum 1–2 years' experience working with children or adolescents
Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
ABN (Australian Business Number)
Working With Children Check and Police Check
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Desirable
-Experience with NDIS participants and documentation
-Training in sensory integration, handwriting, emotional regulation, or functional skill development
-Interest in working collaboratively within a neurodiversity-affirming, child-centred team
