About the role

Taco Bill Cantina Albury is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our dynamic team. As a Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious Mexican-inspired dishes to delight our customers. This is a full-time role based in our Albury, NSW location.

This position requires availability to work weekends as part of your regular shift pattern.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality, authentic Mexican dishes according to recipes and customer orders
  • Ensuring all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to optimise workflow and efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and food hygiene regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service and a great dining experience for our patrons

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef/Cook, preferably in a fast paced restaurant
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Excellent knowledge of foods and cooking techniques
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic family owned team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene
  • Passion for creating delicious, authentic Mexican dishes
  • Experience with Mexican cuisine is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
  • Australian work rights required or visa sponsorship may be available for suitable candidates
