The Role

We're seeking a Junior Accountant / Assistant Accountant to support our CFO across daily finance operations, month-end processes, and compliance within a high-discretion, high-net-worth (HNW) environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable/receivable processing, expense management, and supplier onboarding
  • Prepare and post journals; maintain the fixed asset register
  • Assist with payroll inputs and superannuation reconciliations
  • Support BAS/IAS preparation and year-end working papers
  • Help produce management reports, cashflow updates, and variance analysis
  • Maintain orderly documentation, controls, and audit trails

About You

  • 1–3+ years' accounting experience (public practice or commerce)
  • Currently studying or planning to commence CA/CPA
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with Xero or similar cloud ERP
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Full Australian working rights, with willingness to complete background/reference checks and sign strict NDAs
