FIP Electrical is a well-established, tier-one Electrical/Engineering Contracting Company with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Tasmania. We cater to a wide range of electrical services on the eastern seaboard of Australia and are continually growing and expanding.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Junior accountant to join our Head office team in Mortlake

Role Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will support the day-to-day accounting and office administration functions. You'll play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting while supporting the wider business operations. The duties including but not limited to:

· Assist with processing invoices from suppliers, contractors, and labour hire companies.

· Assist with preparing weekly/monthly payments to suppliers and contractors, in line with invoice due dates and trading terms.

· Working collaboratively within a team to ensure finance tasks are completed efficiently.

· Respond to supplier and contractor inquiries in a timely and professional manner

· Support processing of employee reimbursement claims.

· Assist with processing monthly superannuation contributions, redundancy contributions, IAS and payroll tax payments.

· Assist with preparing customers invoices and progress claims using simPRO and updating in MYOB.

· Generating reports as required by management.

· Assist with preparing quarterly and yearly supporting documents for BAS and Annual Tax Returns in coordination with our tax agent.

· Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

· Assist with maintain the fixed asset register.

· Manage filing, document archiving and general administrative duties.

· Support cash flow tracking and expense management.

· Performing other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Financial Controller.

Qualifications & Experience:

· A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role.

· Exceptional knowledge of Excel and Word is essential.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· High level of organisation, time management and attention to detail

· Experience with MYOB and simPRO is advantageous.
