About the role

We are seeking Catering Assistants, to join the kitchen team at our new client's aged care facility in Lake Cathie, NSW.

  • Multiple morning and afternoon shifts across Monday to Sunday.

  • Morning shifts 6:30am-3:00pm.

-  Afternoon shifts 1:00pm-8:00pm, 3:00pm-8:00pm or 4:00pm-8:00pm.

  • Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.

The successful applicant must provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one, and have received at least two doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine.

Skills and experience

  • Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
  • Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
  • The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing meal service to elderly residents
  • Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up.
  • Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
  • Washing dishes and plating of meals
  • Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
  • Function set up and clear down.
  • Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks.
  • Food and beverage service
