About the Role

We have some positions available as Catering Assistant/Servery at our Aged Care Facility located at Mortdale - Ferndale Gardens, Sydney.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Assist in meal preparation and service
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
  • Support kitchen staff with various tasks as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum one year experience as a catering assistant in the aged care industry or in a comparable role and industry
  • Sound knowledge of food safety standards, including safe food handling, storage, and infection control practices
  • Understanding of catering operations and dietary requirements within an aged care facility, including modified diets and texture-modified meals
  • Strong attention to detail and effective organisational skills to support timely and accurate meal service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive dining experience, including meal presentation, resident engagement, and maintaining cleanliness of the servery and dining areas.
