Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Talent Partner Australia Full time $104,000 - $130,878 per year
Be part of a cyber team that punches above its weight.

Our client isn't just another MSSP. With 18 years in the IT industry, they've reinvented themselves multiple times to stay ahead of the curve and they're now scaling the cyber practice with some of the country's most interesting clients.

From defence and government agencies through to critical SMBs, they help organisations navigate complex threats, implement Essential 8 uplift programs, and deliver real outcomes in incident response, remediation, and proactive security.

We're looking for a hands-on Security Engineer who wants to grow – someone technical, client-facing, and hungry to step up into leadership within the next 12–18 months.

What you'll be doing
  • Delivering onboarding security engagements: assessments, remediation, and incident response.
  • Implementing security controls aligned with Essential 8.
  • Working across the Microsoft Security stack – Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra ID – plus SentinelOne (bonus points).
  • Hunting threats, analysing vulnerabilities, and putting structure around ambiguous problems.
  • Supporting SOC operations and client-facing project delivery.
  • Shaping proposals and solutions alongside our GM and SOC Lead.

What we're looking for
  • Mid level experience in cyber roles (MSSP/MSP background highly regarded).
  • Hands-on with Microsoft Security tools (Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra ID).
  • Exposure to Essential 8 uplift/implementation.
  • Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, incident response, and SOC operations.
  • Microsoft security certifications (SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, MS-500) or working towards.
  • Organised, client-focused, and able to communicate at all levels.
  • Eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Why join?

Not "just another SOC role" – mix of client delivery + technical depth.

Career runway – clear pathway to Team Lead within 12–18 months.

Scale-up stage – strong pipeline, profitable base, and exciting growth ahead.

Diverse client base – from defence and gov't to leading commercial organisations.

Collaborative culture – backed by 18 years of trust and delivery in IT.

Ready to make your next career move?

Apply now and be part of a team that's helping secure Australia's future.
