We are looking for experienced Engineering Professionals in Industrial Automation and Operational Technology (OT) to support client's Melbourne site. These roles will play a key part in developing and implementing automation asset lifecycle management and technology operation processes to strengthen our production systems' reliability, visibility, and performance.

Reporting directly to the OT/Automation Lead, you will contribute to establishing digitalized maintenance systems, monitoring infrastructure, and robust OT engineering practices across the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement automation asset lifecycle processes, including commissioning, maintenance, and decommissioning frameworks.

Design and execute digitized maintenance systems and technology operation processes to improve production uptime and asset visibility.

Support the factory floor OT infrastructure, ensuring integration and reliability of automation systems, control networks, and connected devices.

Contribute to the standardization of OT processes, documentation, and governance for automation assets.

Implement system monitoring, health diagnostics, and technology operations dashboards for production systems.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Production, IT, Maintenance, and Engineering) to align technology operations with business objectives.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial network environments as part of lifecycle and operations support.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, Control Systems, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).

5–10 years of experience in Industrial Automation / OT Engineering environments (manufacturing or production sites preferred).

Strong understanding of OT asset lifecycle management, including configuration control and system updates.

Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems, industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus), and control system integration.

Familiarity with digitized maintenance platforms or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Experience implementing OT monitoring systems, dashboards, and operational performance reporting.

Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles for industrial environments is an advantage.
