Join our Engineering Services team at Eagle Farm, Brisbane, as a skilled and motivated Automation Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and play a key role in supporting and optimising our production systems.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on technical and maintenance support, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, drives, and automation systems.
  • Debug, optimise, and maintain automation systems, instrumentation, industrial networks, and sensors.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and undertake safe industrial electrical installations (JSEA & SWMS compliant).
  • Support Automation Engineers with projects, system upgrades, and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation, identify issues, and implement solutions to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

About You

  • Hold an Electrical Trade qualification (restricted or full licence) and a current driver's licence.
  • Skilled in PLCs (preferably Rockwell), HMI programming, and commissioning.
  • Experienced with variable speed drives, servo motors, and industrial networks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Committed to safety and following safe work practices.
  • Previous experience troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems in a production or manufacturing environment.
