We are a growing technology company specialising in trade-in, buyback, and recommerce solutions. Our mission is to empower telcos, retailers, and enterprises to provide seamless, sustainable trade-in programs for their customers. With a strong foundation in device lifecycle management, sustainability, and circular economy principles, we are now expanding into strategic partnerships with major carriers and retailers across ANZ.
Role Overview
The Business Lead – Strategic Partnerships will spearhead our efforts to secure large-scale trade-in partnerships with telcos (e.g., Spark NZ, Optus) and retailers (e.g., JB Hi-Fi). This senior commercial role combines business development, relationship management, and strategic deal-making.
You will be the face of our organisation to C-level executives, procurement teams, and industry stakeholders. Your focus will be to position us as the preferred trade-in partner, replacing incumbent providers by demonstrating innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with telcos, retailers, and OEMs in the ANZ region.
- Develop a go-to-market strategy for displacing incumbents like Likewize or other current trade in partners.
- Own the end-to-end enterprise sales cycle: from lead generation to contract signing.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build senior relationships with procurement managers, category leads, and executive decision-makers.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to strengthen our profile.
Partnership Management
- Negotiate and structure commercial agreements, ensuring win-win outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and sustainability teams to deliver bespoke trade-in solutions tailored to partner needs.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activity (e.g., Assurant, Likewize, Entelar) and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Track tender and RFP cycles across telco and retail procurement platforms.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales (ideally in telco, retail, or device lifecycle industries).
- Proven track record of winning major contracts or displacing incumbent providers.
- Strong C-suite and procurement relationship management skills.
- Deep understanding of device trade-in, buyback, insurance, or circular economy models.
- Excellent negotiation, commercial, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work in a fast-growing, scaling business.
