THE CW RETAIL TRUST

Job description:

About Us

At Chemist Warehouse, we're more than just a retailer - we're an industry leader and a household name. As one of Australia's largest and fastest-growing retailers, we continue to expand our global footprint with over 600 stores across Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, China, and Dubai, with plenty more on the horizon.

Our success comes down to a simple but powerful formula: unmatched customer service, competitively priced quality products, and an unwavering commitment to innovation. We pride ourselves on being agile, forward-thinking, and responsive to the ever-changing needs of our customers and the market. Joining Chemist Warehouse means becoming part of a dynamic, future-focused organisation that is shaping the retail landscape.

Your Primary Focus

In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting the wellbeing of our people and ensuring compliance across claims and return-to-work processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end claims management, covering:

  • Return to Work (RTW) planning and coordination

  • Payroll processing and claims-related payments
  • Administrative support, including document uploads, remittance, and invoicing
  • Partnering with injured workers to help them remain at work where safe and practicable, or to support a safe and timely return to work.
  • Monitoring claim progress, recovery milestones, and ensuring accurate, detailed documentation until closure.
  • Conducting post-closure check-ins to confirm sustained pre-injury employment.
  • Assisting both workers and managers in meeting their RTW obligations.
  • Building strong relationships with injured workers, managers, treating practitioners, and insurers.
  • Reporting regularly on claims performance to the Team Lead and WHS Manager.
  • Analysing claims and incident data to identify trends, safety issues, and areas for improvement, providing insights and recommendations for action.

Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a combination of technical knowledge and practical experience, including:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, WHS, or a related field OR significant experience in Return-to-Work coordination or a similar administrative role.
  • Completion of an RTW Coordinator course.
  • Strong knowledge of Accident Compensation Legislation.
  • Exposure to WHS/WorkCover is highly desirable.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a high level of comfort using digital platforms and online systems.

Personal Attributes

We're looking for someone who brings the right mix of professionalism, empathy, and drive. You'll stand out if you are:

  • A collaborative team player who is also self-motivated and proactive.
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities and balancing multiple tasks at once.
  • Customer- and service-oriented, always seeking to resolve issues effectively.
  • A clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and known for your strong follow-through.
  • Adaptable, solutions-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A lateral thinker who isn't afraid to take initiative and push for results.

What We Offer

At Chemist Warehouse, we take care of our team with more than just the basics. Here's a taste of what you can look forward to:

  • Exclusive discounts across all our brands, plus access to our legendary Head Office "gift shop" with unbeatable deals on end-of-line products.
  • Discounted meals and drinks at our on-site café in Preston.
  • Complimentary annual flu vaccinations.
  • A hybrid working arrangement, with flexibility to work from home and the office.

This is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to be part of a company that is constantly evolving and growing. If this role doesn't quite fit your background but you're excited by what we're doing, keep an eye on our LinkedIn page and set up job alerts. This position is just one of many opportunities we'll be opening as we continue to build our incredible team.
