Location: Meadowbank, Sydney Type: Full-time
A1 Autohaus are looking for a confident individual with strong automotive knowledge to join our growing workshop in a hybrid role focused on customer service, quoting, coordinating with the workshop team, and supporting day-to-day office operations. As a key member of our customer-facing unit, you will play a pivotal role in creating positive experiences that not only retain our existing customers but also attract new ones.
We are one of Sydney's premier independent European workshops. Located in Ryde (Meadowbank), on the edge of Sydney's Lower North Shore and Inner West. We have been proudly servicing, repairing, and carrying out performance upgrades on vehicles since 2018. We pride ourselves on our strong customer focus, specialising in European and performance vehicles.
This role is ideal for someone with extensive automotive knowledge who is confident in clearly communicating work details to customers and supporting the efficient operation of the workshop. You may come from a background as a mechanic, service advisor, or a similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
You'll work alongside our existing office team as the key point of contact for customers. You'll be helping bridge the gap between our front office and workshop floor - keeping customers informed, quoting jobs, and helping the team run efficiently.
We're a friendly, down-to-earth team that values integrity, collaboration, and a strong work ethic. Our workshop fosters a supportive environment where everyone is respected, and teamwork is at the core of everything we do - no egos, just a shared commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the go-to person for customer communication - via phone, email, and in-person
 - Prepare and explain quotes for vehicle servicing and repairs
 - Book jobs and manage workshop scheduling
 - Liaise with the technicians to keep customers updated on their cars
 - Update and maintain online store product pricing and online enquiries
 - Manage retail and online orders, including stock handling, packing, and dispatch
 - Support A1 Autohaus' digital online presence and assist with content collaboration
 - Finalise invoices and process payments
 - Help with general admin tasks to keep the office running smoothly
 - Represent A1 Autohaus at organised events and industry events as needed

Ideal Candidate:
- Confident communicator with great people skills
 - Experienced with European servicing and maintenance (preferred)
 - Strong understanding of minor and major mechanical repair work
 - Self-motivated with a genuine interest in automotive performance (preferred)
 - Experience in a service advisor or workshop admin role preferred
 - Organised and able to multitask with strong attention to detail in a busy environment
 - Comfortable using computers and workshop management software
 - Familiar with Microsoft 365, Mechanic Desk, and social platforms such as Instagram, Meta Business Suite, and TikTok
 - Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
 - Unrestricted and valid driver's license - With ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
 - Self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems

Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am–5:30pm
 - Alternate Saturdays: 8:30am–1:30pm (Paid Overtime)
 - Flexibility for special builds, A1 Autohaus promotional and motorsport events (part of the job requirements)

Why Join Us?
- Independent European specialist and performance workshop with a great reputation
 - Staff discounts on Performance products and services
 - Opportunities to attend motorsport events and team experiences
 - Newly built workspace and top-tier workshop and staff facilities
 - Stable full-time position with competitive remuneration based on experience
 - Flexible working conditions with supportive leadership that values your input and encourages development
