- Support the Financial Crime Operations (FCO) businesses as an Associate Director, Divisional Controls to manage risk in the first line and meet its strategic priorities
- Contribute to results by increasing efficiency and reducing errors resulting in loss to the NAB due to undue retention of high-risk customers. While at the same time supporting the community in fighting financial crime
- Help the FCO business proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to the role; and escalate events

Associate Director, Divisional Controls
, you will join the Financial Crime Operations and Fraud Operations DCO team that's doubling down on keeping it simple
Each day, you'll go above and beyond to:
- Support the FCO business to provide advice to the FCO Leadership team as needed.
- Assist the first line business owners with identification and management of risk, process improvement and response to issues and events impacting customers and staff.
- Provide advice, insight and oversight, but there is decision-making in relation to event validation and other matters as specified in internal risk management frameworks
- Identify root causes for issues, assessing materiality and working with the business to develop appropriate remedial responses
- Meet strategic priorities through high quality risk guidance and oversight
- Contribute to results by increasing efficiency and reducing errors resulting in loss to the NAB due to undue retention of high-risk customers and/or non-compliance with the AML/CTF Program
We're looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You'll need:
- Extensive professional experience required
- Proven experience in 1st line risk related roles and control creation is beneficial
- Demonstrated experience in Financial Crime would be desirable
- Ability to manage stakeholders, including excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to understand issue descriptions and follow work procedures to investigate and interrogate matters so that accurate impact assessments can be made and advice given
