About the Role
 

As Reservations Manager at Rydges Sydney Central, you'll lead the charge in coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the Reservations Department, with a sharp focus on driving revenue and delivering accurate forecasting. Working closely with Revenue, Sales, and Operational teams, you'll play a key role in shaping the guest experience — from the moment of booking right through to check-out. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where your attention to detail, strategic thinking, and commitment to service excellence will make a real impact.  

Skills & Experience

•    Proven experience in hotel reservations or a similar front office role. 

•    Strong knowledge of hotel systems such as Opera and iVvy. 

•    Skilled in forecasting and achieving revenue targets and budgets. 

•    Excellent communication skills — confident, clear, and audience-aware. 

•    Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team development. 

•    Strong decision-making and problem-solving under pressure. 

•    Highly organised with a focus on accuracy and task completion. 

•    Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering quality results.

Key Responsibilities
 

•    Oversee reservation operations across all booking channels, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. 

•    Manage room inventory and allocations to maximise occupancy and revenue. 

•    Lead, train, and support the reservations team to deliver exceptional service. 

•    Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to develop pricing strategies and packages. 

•    Handle escalated guest enquiries and ensure a seamless booking experience. 

•    Monitor performance metrics, generate reports, and maintain reservation systems.
