About the role

Central Darling Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate and Customer Service Manager to join our team. This permanent full-time position will be a key member of the senior management team, responsible for leading and managing our corporate and customer service functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Manage and oversee the records management, ICT, Post Office and administration functions
  • Ensure efficient and effective business operations, including policy development, process improvement, and risk management
  • Provide strategic and operational advice and support to the General Manager and the Management Executive team
  • Foster a strong customer-centric culture and continuous improvement mindset across the organisation
  • Represent the Council and liaise with key stakeholders, including government agencies and the local community

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a management role within a local government or public sector organisation
  • Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial management capabilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate systems experience with ICT platforms and management systems is required
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as business, public administration or a related field
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance and NSW Working with Children Check is essential.
