Experienced Community Nurses - Mornington Peninsula - EEN's and Reg Div 1 (General Nursing Care, Palliative, HITH & More).

About the role

We are looking for nurses that have experience in community nursing, palliative care and HITH nursing on the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas. You will provide high-quality care to clients in their own homes.

Currently we have a client who lives in Flinders a lady wanting nursing support with showering, wound care, she has slight STML, urinary incontinence at times, uses 4 whl, thickened fluids and soft diet. Meal prep and some light household duties required.

She is currently having 24/7 care the following bookings need to be covered:

  • Wednesdays hrs & hrs
  • Sundays hrs & hrs
  • Saturdays hrs

Ideally you shall be available to cover holiday and sick leave.

These rewarding roles assist clients with services including:

  • Direct care to clients and their caregivers along the palliative care trajectory
  • Clinical assessment and intervention to manage symptoms
  • Administering medications and assessment and treatment of pain
  • Assistance with basic, complex, and critical care needs.
  • Access to 24 Support from Call on Clare when needed

For Nurses wishing to undertake general nursing / specialist nursing roles we are looking for some of the following clinical skills:

  • Complex Wound Dressings including (VACC Dressing's)
  • Central Line Management - Looking after ports/PICC/IV Anti's.
  • Catheter Care (M) & (F)
  • Drain Tube Management
  • Continence nurse specialist (continence assessments etc. )
  • Assessments ( PAS, Cognitive, Wound, FRAT)

About you:

You are a dedicated nurse with community nursing experience who enjoys working in the community to support people meet their health goals and objectives. You have excellent communication skills, are caring, compassionate and are a great team player.

  • Current EEN or DIV 1 / RN AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum of 2 years community would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge, judgment, and skill in providing professional support to patients with complex needs
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to your work
  • Computer literate and able to use MS Office, email, and rostering systems
  • Current CPR and Manual Handling Certificate
  • Able to provide proof of COVID Vaccination
  • Victorian Drivers License
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
