About The Role
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Assistant Finance Analyst
to join our Finance and Advice teams in either
Sydney or Brisbane
. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in financial principles and accounting practices who are ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll play a key part in supporting month-end processes, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities across Technology Finance & Analytics, Group Expense, and Performance Management teams.

What You'll Do

• Deliver month-end finance processes accurately and on time.
• Investigate and resolve data variances and reconciliations promptly.
• Prepare and process accounting journals.
• Assist with key management reporting, including monthly reports.
• Maintain and update financial systems and databases.
• Provide analytical support for forecasting and budgeting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver performance insights.
• Build strong relationships to understand business drivers and trends that inform reporting.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; working towards CA/CPA (desired).
• Interest in financial services and eagerness to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Experience or interest in tools like Power BI (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Suite products; familiarity with finance systems (e.g., Oracle, TM1/Cognos).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
