About the Role:

The Justice Officer is an entry-level position to a career in corporate services in the Department's eight Regions, through which the compliance, enforcement and regulatory services are provided to the Victorian community.

Some of your other duties will include:

  • Providing high quality services and perform all functions pertaining to prisoner records, Individual Management File (IMF) registry and prison archives at MAP.
  • Coordinating the preparation of all documentation relating to a prisoner's transfer, classification, release or court appearances and undertake operational processes associated with the prison's bails and discharges.
  • Providing support and assistance in a range of other corporate functions at MAP.

About You:

As an ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Well-developed computer literacy with the ability of adapting to new systems and software with ease.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate records and associated legal implications of documents handed down by courts.
