Fantastic Opportunity - Great Company  Our client is a steel processing & supply company that provides services including laser, plasma & oxy cutting, folding, rolling, and fabrication and they are seeking to appoint a Senior Estimator for their facility in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering customer inquiries and customer pricing information via phone or email in a timely manner
  • Understand and interpret customer requirements; including drawings, written specs and resolving customer problems when required.
  • Prepare estimates and quotations using computerised quotation spreadsheets and Pulse ERP Software
  • Working closely and communicating with all the internal team members to ensure a smooth process and execution of all jobs
  • Job costing and invoicing, including estimating margins, labour requirements/costs and delivery costs

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or Equivalent (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural, or Mechanical)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction/structural drawings
  • Extensive experience in production planning, estimating and Sigmanest
  • Knowledge of steel industry is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of M1 (ERP system) will be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship builder with internal and external stakeholders
  • Meticulous eye for detail
