About us
Codan Limited is an Australian company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) (Codan). Codan is a global group of innovative, technology companies, focused on transforming lives through critical technologies.
We deliver solutions across communication, detection and connection.
We have a global footprint with offices in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, UAE, Ireland, Mexico, Singapore, the UK, and the USA. We sell our products in over 150 countries to customers such as global governments, businesses, NGOs, aid and humanitarian organisations, security and military groups, public safety, emergency response, broadcast, and consumer markets.
We deliver innovation, wherever you are.
About the Role
As Codan's Vice President - Global IT, you will lead the evolution of our worldwide technology function, shaping how IT enables, accelerates, and safeguards our business into its next phase of growth. Reporting to the Codan Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will define and deliver a cohesive global IT strategy that underpins Codan's expanding international footprint, drives innovation, and supports operational excellence across all divisions.
With Codan continuing to grow both organically and through strategic acquisitions, you will play a pivotal role in integrating new businesses, harmonising systems, and positioning our technology landscape to scale effectively for the future.
You'll lead a talented, geographically dispersed team, fostering collaboration across regions and uniting technology efforts across Codan's three operating divisions. You'll ensure our technology landscape is secure, scalable, and aligned with the strategic priorities of each business. With a strong focus on performance and continuous improvement, you'll play a critical role in integrating systems following acquisitions, enhancing our ERP environment (ideally SAP), and embedding best-in-class IT practices that drive efficiency, innovation, and value across the organisation.
Key objectives would include:
- Leading and executing transformational technology projects globally to modernise systems, enhance integration, and drive operational excellence.
- Developing and delivering Codan's global IT strategy in alignment with business goals and future growth plans.
- Leading technology integration activities for newly acquired businesses, ensuring seamless system and data alignment.
- Overseeing enterprise systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance.
- Managing ERP systems (preferably SAP) to support efficient, data-driven operations.
- Partnering with global business leaders to identify opportunities where technology drives measurable business value.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing IT team operating across multiple regions and divisions.
- Driving continuous improvement and service excellence across all aspects of IT delivery.
- Managing IT budgets, vendors, and technology investments to achieve optimal performance and return.
- This role offers the opportunity to shape Codan's digital future—delivering meaningful impact across a global business that values innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
About You
You are a strategic and pragmatic IT leader with a global mindset and a proven ability to inspire high-performing teams across regions and time zones. Adept at engaging with executive stakeholders, you balance strategic vision with practical execution—delivering technology solutions that are both innovative and commercially grounded. With a strong technical foundation and experience in enterprise environments—ideally within manufacturing, defence, or related sectors—you excel in fast-paced, complex settings where collaboration, influence, and sound judgement drive success.
Your background includes leading multi-site IT operations, driving integration projects, and implementing or optimising ERP systems (SAP preferred). You understand how to align technology with business goals, balancing long-term strategic development with immediate operational needs.
In a global environment where our leadership and operations span multiple regions, your ability to communicate effectively, foster engagement, and build alignment will be essential to success. You will drive measurable improvements and elevate the IT function to be recognised for delivering exceptional support and operational excellence.
This role requires a hands-on presence across our international offices. Regular interstate and international travel are expected, and the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance is essential.
Due to the highly collaborative nature of our business, this role will be predominantly based on-site at our Ashburn - Virginia or Redmond WA facility.
Benefits and Culture
Our culture is supportive and collaborative. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where we share our ideas and innovation is strongly encouraged. We are looking for someone with genuine passion and a can-do attitude for what they do.
Our staff receive 15 days accrued paid time off per year, 9 Federal holidays, an opportunity to join our sponsored health and welfare plan, a generous 401k plan with matching employer contribution, an Employee Assistance Program, and more.
Additionally, we offer flexible core working hours and we take a personal approach to training and development. You can expect to enjoy working as part of a global organisation with teams in the USA, UK, Denmark, Singapore, and Australia.
