Test Automation Engineer – Playwright

Melbourne | Hybrid | ASAP Start

CloudMarc is seeking an experienced
Test Automation Engineer
to join our Quality Engineering team in Melbourne. This role is ideal for someone who is confident with modern automation frameworks, understands quality engineering fundamentals, and can contribute to a fast-paced delivery environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks with a strong focus on
Playwright
. You will work closely with developers, BAs, and business stakeholders, ensuring high-quality delivery across web and integration layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (preferably
    Playwright
    ).
  • Test modern web applications and integrations across multiple systems.
  • Develop structured automation test plans and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams.
  • Support continuous improvement across testing and automation practices.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Playwright
    (or Selenium, Cypress, WebDriverIO, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of
    web application
    and
    integration testing
    .
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Ownership-driven approach and ability to work in a
    hybrid
    team environment.

Hybrid – Melbourne based 3 days onsite
