The Role

We are seeking a Mobile Automation Test Engineer to join our high-performing quality team supporting one of Australia's largest digital transformation programs.

This position focuses on mobile app testing (iOS and Android) and requires a balance of hands-on automation and functional testing.

You'll join a collaborative team of engineers who value quality, communication, and culture as much as technical capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications (iOS and Android)
  • Work across UI and API layers to ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and quality engineers in Agile squads
  • Perform manual exploratory testing alongside automation efforts
  • Integrate test execution into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)
  • Analyse test results, raise and track defects, and contribute to release readiness

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in mobile app testing (manual and automation)
  • Hands-on with frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, or Detox
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Java for automation scripting
  • API testing experience using Postman, RestAssured, or similar
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Melbourne-based candidates only, with ability to work onsite three days per week
