About The Role
We're seeking a
Manager – Membership & Commercial
to lead our membership services and commercial partnerships. You'll be the key connector—nurturing prospects, supporting existing members, and building long-term relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, and delegates. This role is about trust and engagement, not hard-selling. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our members feel valued, our community thrives, and our events deliver commercial success.

What You'll Do
- Grow membership by identifying prospects and nurturing relationships across the venue, entertainment, and events industries.
- Drive retention and engagement by delivering high-quality member experiences, from onboarding through to renewal.
- Oversee commercial partnerships, securing sponsorships and ensuring sponsor satisfaction through effective account management.
- Lead exhibitor recruitment and servicing for our flagship VMA Congress.
- Support delegate experience by coordinating registration, accommodation, and event services.
- Curate and deliver member networking events, including our After 5 program.
- Manage budgets for membership initiatives and report on growth, retention, and commercial outcomes.

- Demonstrated success in achieving sales, business development, or membership targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in influencing stakeholders, from members to sponsors and senior executives.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A member- and customer-centric mindset, with the ability to build trust.
- A genuine interest in venues, events, or the entertainment industry.
