About the role
The Research Society is the leading association for insights professionals in Australia. Our industry is transforming and growing rapidly and we aim to support this growth by providing training, professional accreditation, thought leadership and advocacy to and on behalf of the industry.
The Research Society is currently seeking membership officer with outstanding customer service, data managment and organisational skills to join our team to provide support to our members and prospective members. This is a permanent part-time role for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll be doing
- Promptly responding to email and telephone queries from members
- Support the delivery of approved member benefits
- Advise potential members on the benefits of membership and the various membership options available to them.
- Onboard new members (individual and corporate members)
- Manage the membership renewal process
- Maintain the membership database and ensure accurate and timely membership information is available to the business.
- Liaise with our bookkeeper to ensure that all members payments and payment records are accurate and up to date and
- Undertake membership invoicing and following up outstanding payments
- Assist with our CPD program
- Support our Special Interest Groups and Networks
Skills and experience
- Min 3 years' experience in a membership administration role in a professional or industry association
- Experience of using a membership management platform (ideally Membes)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong data management skills
- High level digital skills with the ability to rapidly learn new tools and platforms
- High level skills in the use of products in the Microsoft Office suite
- A willingness to engage with members using your excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong work ethic and a flexible and collaborative approach to work
